Time aught not erase your life, your family matters and should be remembered.
I'm Tarah, nice to meet you.
I am a mother to three wild and free little boys, coop of hens, and two amazing pups. One thing I acknowledge is the days are long but the years are short. We have so many amazing moments in our life that just flash by.
Lack of sleep is a real thing and I would have forgotten some great snuggles if they were not captured in a photo. I truly believe that photos keep memories alive. They have an amazing way of inspiring emotions just by a single glance.
The story that shaped my journey into family lifestyle photography started 20 years ago. I began teaching kids with special needs swimming lessons in my small Wisconsin hometown and immediately knew I had a passion for helping kids. I worked for 12 years with kids on the autism spectrum both in their homes and in the classroom. Fitting kids into a structured environment is hard and unnatural. I worked alongside some amazing mentors who showed me how to take the structure of a classroom and balance it with child-led learning. They taught me things a textbook couldn’t, and these important experiences help me to be a better family photographer.
I am so excited to get to spend time exploring with families. That is what our session is, it is a time for everyone to have fun, hang out, and capture a great memory!
There is nothing more frustrating than trying to get a toddler to sit and look at the camera. Together lets turn normal stressful moments instead into a bonding experience with your family!
Portraits of families are great, but capturing a true laugh, a fun story or a heartfelt moment will bring joy when looking back at the image for years.
My goal is to give you not only an image to remember but a great feeling of love to accompany that photo! I want to help you freeze time and capture amazing memories for a lifetime!
this is your Legacy
